The You 4 Youth training course, co-funded by Erasmus+, aims to enhance the quality of non-formal education in youth work by fostering international cooperation. Through reflections on local realities, current needs, and emerging trends in the youth field, this training equips participants with key competences to implement meaningful changes in their work. By emphasizing the added value of international youth work, the course supports the development of innovative approaches that contribute to the professional growth of youth workers and the empowerment of young people.
Objective of the training are to:
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of non-formal education in youth work
- Analyze local realities, trends, and challenges in the youth sector
- Highlight the added value of international experiences in youth work
- Equip youth workers with tools and methods to adapt and innovate
- Strengthen international cooperation and networking opportunities
Throughout the training, you will engage in a variety of dynamic activities, from interactive teambuilding and networking sessions to deep dives into youth work trends and needs. You’ll explore innovative non-formal education methods, exchange best practices, and discover new tools to enhance your work. Outdoor and creative workshops will spark fresh ideas, while discussions on project management and participation will equip you with practical skills for future initiatives. As the week progresses, you’ll reflect on your learnings, develop action plans for follow-up, and build lasting international partnerships. About the Venue
The training course will take place in Želiv, a charming and peaceful village located near Pelhřimov, a historical town often called the “Gateway to the Highlands.” Želiv is known for its beautiful Premonstratensian monastery, offering a tranquil setting perfect for learning, reflection, and networking. The venue is surrounded by nature, creating an ideal environment for outdoor activities and creative workshops. Participants will stay in comfortable double-bed rooms at Kocanda, a welcoming accommodation close to the training site. With Pelhřimov just a short distance away, participants will also have the opportunity to explore this vibrant Czech town and experience its cultural heritage.
Practical Details
- Travel: Transport from Austria to the venue is supported. Participants are required to plan their travels in advance and upon approval from the hosting organisation Hodina H book their tickets. Travel expenses are reimbursed after the training is completed and travel documents are handed over to the host.
- Costs: Travel costs are reimbursed up to 275 EUR in case of green travel (no flights), and training, accommodation, and meals during the program are covered (starting with dinner on 24.3.2025 and last meal is breakfast on 30.3.2025).
- What to bring: Participants are required to prepare description and information about their sending organisation and some examples of inspiring activities, events, and tools used in youth work.
How to plan your travels?
- Confirmation of Participation
Once we confirm your participation in the project, you’ll receive further instructions. - Submission of Your Travel Plan
You’ll be required to prepare your proposed travel plan (to and from Želiv) for approval. - Approval by the hosting organisation
Hodina H – your hosting association will review and approve your travel plan to ensure everything aligns with the program guidelines. - Booking Your Travel
Once approved, you’ll be asked to book your travel tickets. - Travel Costs Reimbursement
After participating in the training week, your travel costs (up to 275 EUR) will be reimbursed. Make sure to keep your receipts and tickets as proof!
