On November 1st-3rd, we organised a training for 12 young people in Vienna with a goal to teach them valuable skills and knowledge how to transform their own ideas into impactful projects!

The participants, aged 18–30, came from Vienna, Styria, and Carinthia, and took part in this key event as part of the Green Up Development project. This training built on their experiences from previous transnational exchanges in Croatia, Turkey, Serbia, and North Macedonia. During those exchanges, they gained valuable insights into recycling, sustainable practices, audio-video production, and digital marketing.

This final training focused on equipping participants with project development and management skills, empowering them to transform their innovative ideas into actionable initiatives—all with a shared mission: to protect our environment!

During the training, participants mastered:

  • Project design, learning to create initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility, including project writing and coordination.
  • Practical solutions for pressing environmental challenges, turning their ideas into impactful projects.
  • Collaboration and innovation, allowing participants to connect with other young changemakers, exchange good practices, and share knowledge on eco-friendly approaches, marketing, and video production.
  • Skills in high demand within the green economy, enhancing their career prospects and competence in sustainability-focused fields.

Working in small groups, they were able to cooperate on their ideas and receive feedback by peer review, complemented by the guidance of ACTIVE project coordinator.

What’s next?

Starting from February 2025, ideas will be brought to life and youngsters will be able to implement their project in their local communicates with a support of a modest budget of around 2.000 € per project.

Stay tuned for the announcement of these project at the beginning of next year!
